St Thomas 

Several years ago someone told me that St Thomas was the prettiest place they had ever seen. Now, having seen many places I rolled my eyes to myself. This past summer I got to see it for myself. They weren't kidding ,this place is heaven.

The most famous place is Magen's Bay. A beach rated by National Geographic as one of the ten best in the world.  No wonder they charge you to get in. The 3 dollars is entirely worth it though.This beach lives up to all the hype you hear about it. 

The water is so clean and clear than you can see ten feet down like you are looking through glass. The gentle ripple of the water is hypnotizing. 

You can rent kayaks here or snorkel. The sand is silky smooth on your feet. Overlooking the bay is a mountainous region where tiny coloured houses dot the hillside.

There are many beautiful beaches here. Emerald or Sapphire beaches are less touristy and gorgeous choices too.

Diamonds 

It is true that fine jewelry and electronic items like digital cameras are cheaper in St Thomas but you should research your prices before leaving home.
